T-SHIRT TUESDAY x GLENNZ

Glenn (with 2 N’s) is coming straight out of the Kiwi region (New Zealand) with some hilarious shirts.

I couldn’t post them all up, but trust me… dude is a crack-up.

What if Marty Mc Fly or Doc Brown got a boot put on the DeLorean?? Damn. That would be tragic.

On a sidenote, who would win in a fight, Biff from Back to the Future or Johnny from Karate Kid?

Fucking RoboCop. Dude loves his jelly filled and maple bars.

Glenn calls this one "Extreme Beginnings."

I loved playing snake on my cell phone.

Check out all their tees. They also have calendars, mouse pads, hoodies, onesies,...

Orange County BBQ Festival Part 2

I was going to the Orange County BBQ Festival no matter what, but when I heard Slap Yo Daddy BBQ was going to be there, I knew it was going to be a delight to the senses.

Slap Yo Daddy is one of the BBQ teams featured on TLC's "BBQ Pitmasters." That show was what really got me into making it to this festival. I loved BBQ before the show, but watching the show took my passion to the next level.

When we first walked up to their booth there was a pack of people around them. We just stood behind them thinking we were getting some of Harry's award winning BBQ. He looked at the crowd and said, “Not ready yet! Come back in a little bit!!" Classic Harry if you watch the show.

I think I said "Slap Yo Daddy" at least 50 times this weekend. I love saying it.

Slap Yo Daddy had the longest line all day long, and that was only five minutes.

They did their BBQ a little different offering some of their meat on top of noodles. I passed on that. Just give me the meat.

Their pulled pork was everything people hyped it up to be. Flavorful and delicious. They were even taking the time to pour the juices from the meat back onto your snack sized portion.

Excellent service as well. Friendly folks running their booth.

Besides food, the festival also had a kid’s area. Look at this dino.

The kids climb up his back and slide down his neck out of his mouth. What an asshole!

Look how this kid is dressed. I blame it on his parents. I was about to Slap His Daddy.

Dude, you're 13, this is a game for 6 year olds.

Orange County BBQ Festival Part 1

Have you ever seen that show on TLC "BBQ Pitmasters?" Great programming. Awesome characters, accents, and they say brisket about 40 times per show.

On Saturday June 12th, Orange County had their very own BBQ Festival.

It was outstanding. Not really sure what I was expecting, but the crowd, organization and most importantly, the food was out of this atmosphere.

First taste. Daddy O's BBQ.

One year my dad built me and my brother a quarter pipe. He would ride our skateboards on it straight up and back down. Just fakie it. We called that a Daddy O.

Daddy O's BBQ might have been the best of the day. Service was great. BBQ sauce had the perfect amount of zip to it. The pulled pork had the perfect bite to it.

After my first taste, we wanted to get our bearings and see what exactly the day had in store for us. And what do we see?

"Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads"

To be continued...

FITTED FRIDAY x AIR MAX 95 NEONS x CRANIUM FITTEDS

I know it's not Friday, but I really wanted to put up this post. Hop in your Delorean, go back to Friday and read below.

I love the colorways from the old Nike Air Max 95 Neons. A lot of hat companies have jumped on the neon and grey bandwagon and the results are simply amazing.

They remind a little of those old Michael Chang Reebok Pumps. I think I just love the color of tennis balls.

The boys over at Cranium Fitteds have all these hats and more so please check them out when you get a chance.

OG right here. I love the Olive Garden. Fuck all the Olive Garden Haters out there!!

Besides the Air Max 95 Neon colors, I also saw two hat designs that had me thinking about Olde Ivory and their nautical theme. Olde Ivory is a clothing company operating out of Hawaii. They just released some incredible t-shirts so check them out and support their cause.

Cranium Fitteds carries all these hats and they also have an awesome collection of streetwear to look at too. But please, take the sticker off that hat!!

T-SHIRT TUESDAY x VICIOUS HISTORY

Those who don't learn from history, are bound to repeat it...

That is why we study history in school.

Vicious History has some incredible designs, and I love that Death Logo...

They have a wide variety of shirts at their online store, but these are some of my faves...

Napolean would beat your ass. That's the thing. You have no idea how relentless he was. Do some research. If it wasn't for Mother Nature, WORLD DOMINATION?!?

This owl reminds me of the Tootsie Pop Owl. Then I started thinking about that Lil Kim song, "How Many Lixx?" Then I just thought about how wise that owl appears to be.

Marie Antoinette. Queen of France. She had her head chopped off.

General Mutton. Is this guy named General Mutton because he has huge fucking sideburns?

History can be Vicious, so learn from it...

THROWBACK THURSDAY x EXCITEBIKE NES

Excitebike… another underrated Nintendo NES game.

I loved the sound of the engines, the simplicity of the game, the colors of the bikers, and the colors of the tracks. In my fantasy Excitebike world, I wanted to control the Baby Blue racer on a created Kawasaki (light green/ level 2) track.

I also always considered the Purple racers to be brothers. And those guys would drive me nuts.

Excitebike also taught me some real life lessons, like don’t overheat. When you are in the red, don’t push it. Ease up. That’s how you will finish the race with best time.

Another concept that made Excitebike so great/ revolutionary was how you could design your own track. I never figured out how to save it, but I used to love to design insane jumps and courses.

Excitebike… eXtreme eXcitement!!!

WING WEDNESDAY x WINGS N THINGS

This post was originally from November 2009, but I needed to bring it back for Wing Wednesday. Those Rooster Rinds are epic!!
.
.
.
.
Wings n Things is a restaurant located on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach. They have this appetizer there that I have never seen anywhere else and it is awesome.

"RACHEL ROOSTER RINDS
Great buffalo wing taste without the fuss. Crispy deep fried chicken coverings dipped in buffalo wing sauce. A Wings 'N Things original specialty!"

These are just as incredible as they sound. Where else can you get just the chicken skin? Deep fried and dipped in buffalo wing sauce?

Just these Rooster Rinds alone are worth the trip. But check out these fries, too. Fresh cut, curly and salty.

The wings were pretty good. I still think the House of Brews in Huntington Beach have the best wings.

We killed it. There was also a salad and some chicken tenders in there.

T-SHIRT TUESDAY x FURFACE BOY

Furface Boy is my favorite. At first I was like, "Furface Boy?! That's kinda fucked up.".....but now I think I get it.

Designs, fonts, colors, website, blog, the whole package.... I feel like I am one with FFB.....the connection to the fan is so tight.

Here are some of their releases from Series III..

Jordan style eleprint. That's called fucking fashion.

You know I love Mike Tyson's Punchout!!

Furface Boy operates out of Texas. One of their tees was dedicated to the home of the Horned Frogs, TCU.

So there are three tees for T-Shirt Tuesday. Support your local clothing company...
