Food in the OC x GIMBIC = extra lbs.

What have I been up to? Eating.

I just want to give you a quick recap of what foodtography I had saved up on my cell phone. Picture quality is crappy. My deepest apologies.

Niberino's Meatball Sandwich in Anaheim is worthy of its own post, and it might receive one eventually, but for now I needed to expose you to this gem.

Looks like your typical liquor store on Ball and Sunkist on the border of Orange and Anaheim. Walk in, make a right to the back and order a Meatball Sub. Thank me later.

Super Teriyaki Bowl on State College and Ball. One block down from Nib's stands an odd looking building that serves up delicious chicken bowls. Good textures with the crunchy cabbage on top. Top notch service.

Who's that? Leonardo. Gumball eyeballs always take it to the next level for me.

Two Brother Pizza on Warner and Goldenwest in Huntington Beach. I rarely order cheese pizza, but they make theirs so good. It is almost like their tables and plates match their slice. You gotta coordinate... (Boomerang reference)

That looks like a Club Sandwich with friend zucchinis on the side. Has to be Hot Off the Grill in HB on Bolsa Chica and Heil. It's hard to find good zuchinni strips anywhere, but Hot Off the Grill's will make you do backflips. Also have to try their pastrami sando.

Don't forget... it's snowboarding season. Here's a shot from last year of Mount Baldy.

Have a great winter...

Hot Off the Grill...

Hot Off the Grill in Huntington Beach. Bolsa Chica and Heil is the one I go to, but they have four other locations.

Look at that Pastrami Sandwich. Do I really need to say much?

These are fried zucchini strips. Damn... Fresh, fried, and seems like a half pound of grub. Excellent.

Taquitos look authentic, and when I say authentic I mean good.

They also serve up some incredible shakes, so save room for a little dessert... if you dare.

Gost Brand Clothing....

Gost brand clothing is sick. I believe they also go by Gost and Knives, but either way they have some hot designs.

Have you ever been visited by a ghost? I have. Her name was Mrs. Merritt. She gave me a blanket one night when I was passed out over at a buddy's house on New Year's Eve.

So when I saw Gost brand clothing I knew I had to throw up a post about them.

The cat that started up this clothing line was the Michael Jordan of in-line skating. I love his designs/ artwork/ drawings. It's almost like the fact that it's on a shirt is secondary to him because the drawings and graphics are just so sick. His characters and messages are great.

Living in Orange County, the Santa Ana Winds suck. That's the worst weather we have here. Dude has his bat tied in a knot.

This is their main logo. Kinda like the Pac Man ghost, but a lot friendlier looking.

This cap is nice. I like those wings/ feather things. Beautiful touch. Don't sleep on that Raiders looking tee the dude is wearing too.

These pictures are from their Holiday 2009 collection so I'm coming kind of late to the table. They also have jackets, wallets, jeans, everything you need and desire. But hurry fast if you want these styles.

Defunkt T-Shirts...

Defunkt T-shirts just added me on Twitter so I HAD to check them out. All of their shirts are defunct (out of business/ retired) designs and logos... great idea and great way of doing it.

RAD was a RAD movie...

As was Gleaming the Cube... SKATE OR DIE!!

My boy used to push a Geo Metro... we would whip that shit around like a Hot Wheel...

Oil well looks nice...

Check out their other hot designs here... nice work!!

Flame Broiler Chicken Bowls..

I love slices of Pepperoni Pizza.

I love Buffalo Wings.

I love Sushi.

And I definitely love Chicken Bowls.

When I was in college and drinking cases of Keystone Light and shots of Peppermint Schnapps, the only thing that could cure my mean hangovers was a chicken bowl and a nap the next day.

I like my chicken bowls with green onions and Teriyaki sauce, but the bright red-orange hot sauce has to be right. At Flame Broiler in Cypress they have the perfect recipe. Their hot sauce is a little vinegary and a little sweet. It has the right consistentcy... just a little watery. They give it to you in a big ass bottle so you can add a little dash here and there as you eat it.

I have a certain technique for eating my chicken bowl and everything.

More posts to come on chicken bowls. I also love Yogi's and Mos #2 down here in Orange County.

On a sidenote, I punched in Flame Broiler on Yahoo! looking for some reviews and some idiot wrote this review. This is the type of stuff that pisses me off about the Internet. Lady, check the bag before you go and see if you can find a life inside there.

She writes some bullshit then "......The point is, I specifically asked for 4 teriyaki sauces because I was sharing a meal with my friend and he looked me straight in the eye and said okay but then when I looked in the bag after I got home, he only gave me two. I was out my sauce and as you know, you really can't enjoy these teriyaki bowls without the sauce. I was very disappointed because this happened after I had complimented him on the remodel. Jerk. This is the last place I pay for food at this location because it might look prettier but the customer service didn't get any better........."

You're a fucking idiot. The place is incredible. Flame Broiler rules!

Wings n Things in HB...

Wings n Things is a restaurant located on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach. They have this appetizer there that I have never seen anywhere else and it is awesome.

"RACHEL ROOSTER RINDS
Great buffalo wing taste without the fuss. Crispy deep fried chicken coverings dipped in buffalo wing sauce. A Wings 'N Things original specialty!"

These are just as incredible as they sound. Where else can you get just the chicken skin? Deep fried and dipped in buffalo wing sauce?

Just these Rooster Rinds alone are worth the trip. But check out these fries, too. Fresh cut, curly and salty.

The wings were pretty good. I still think the House of Brews in Huntington Beach have the best wings.

We killed it. There was also a salad and some chicken tenders in there.

Big Belly Crew Hats...

These hats are coming straight off the streets of Orange County... Garden Grove to be exact. Big Belly Crew is a clothing company started up by two brothers who love to drink Jack Daniels, eat food, and live life to the fullest. Check out their full line of shirts, shorts, and tanks here. You might see Street Bike Tommy rocking a t-shirt in a few episodes of Nitro Circus this past season.

I'm not ready to come to terms with my own big belly, so these hats are enough for me. That brown is sharp, especially with the Holiday season coming around. Check back at Surfside Industriesfor the latest Big Belly Crew gear and everything else you need!
